This weekend I had the
great pleasure of being involved in this photoshoot! Blaine Provancha an
amazing stylist braided my hair in a bun, and left extra hair, which was
frizzed in the back, and finally lots of bleached white peacock feathers were
plastered to my forehead. The end result, I felt like a Greek goddess from a
completely different place and time. The shoot was basic and I was in a white
V-Neck the simplistic bare bones theme only accentuated the headpiece. Eric Wimberley
(the very talented photographer) and I collaborated on certain poses and spend
the whole day listening to music, thinking up crazy photo ideas, and talking
about dangerous animals in Florida. It was a day full of art and beautiful
people there is no better way to spend the day. More photos coming soon!

Gabby
Gabby is an amazing character. Her
style is timeless in every sense. Over the course of the shoot we discussed her
chosen alter ego, "Sandy" from Grease. With the tight pants, electric blue Nine West high heels, vintage acid
wash jean jacket, and the personality to match, I would have to agree. Gabby is
about stripes, basics, blacks, and of course the touch of red lipstick. The
various avant-garde statues provided the perfect company for my own muse, and
the silvery backgrounds added to the blue tinted day. As we raided Gabby's
closet before the shoot it was hard to choose outfits. Her collection is so
extensive! It is apparent that every item of her clothing has a meaning or a
purpose. Her attitude is reflected in her style, simple, beautiful, and
unforgiving.

Ivy
Ivy, my roommate.
Her personality, and style are very
unique. She can make a tennis skirt look chic, and wear a sweater like she was
born in it. As we walked around campus, the sun peeked out, and I had her
twirling around on the pathways. Ivy has a classic look but also a hint of something
more, an eccentric unique quality that truly allows her to stand out. But she
never compromises her sense of sophistication and class. Her pieces are simple
yet have beautiful noteworthy details.

Grey Day
As the rain steadily comes down in
the city, I give in to its cool seduction, choosing an outfit to mimic the gray
flat light. I recently picked up this amazing leather Banana Republic skirt
that I matched with my favorite suede leggings from H&M. This skirt has
brought a fashion quest to an end as I have long searched for a piece that would
combine, edge, sensuality, and femininity in such a perfect combination. This
is paired with the Portland classic, a circle scarf. This is one accessory that
I carry everywhere ad serves as a perfect way to avoid the rain. I spent the
day cozied up in coffee shops with friends, and searching for the perfect
winter coat with the Portland waterfront as my backdrop.

Tara
Tara, and I braved the Oregon rain…
This girl is lovely and so naturally
beautiful. Pulling off all black is no easy task but she accomplishes
this flawlessly. With her full-length skirt, sweater, to-die-for waterproof
coat, and comfy boots she is ready for a Gothic inspired winter. These
full-length black shirts or dresses are everywhere lately and for good reason.
They make any outfit lovely and simplistic all at once, it is something that is
interchangeable with so many items. Tara chose a string of pearls to add sophistication.
As we ran around the streets, dodging the rain, everyone stopped to catch a
glimpse of this bold, black vision through the haze of rain. If only the could
catch a glimpse of this girl’s closet, a fashionista's dream!

Nick
Nick, 20 years old rockin' his Calvin
Klein jacket. A political science, and German major. Nick's style matches his
sarcastic sense of humor perfectly. He is as witty as his style, and one of my
close friends. His style is a true testament that any guy with a basic pair of
boots and a jacket can have a put together look without much effort, it is all
about the ease of style.
